Hello Sigma Members,  Are you interested in learning more about additional nursing opportunities that are available for you not only locally but in different parts of Minnesota? Hello Sigma Members,  We hope you are doing well and are looking forward to learning more about what Sigma can do for you.  We are happy to announce that your local sigma chapter will be hosting a new member orientation. We will discuss the benefits of having a Sigma membership, navigating The Circle, and much more. After discussing membership benefits, we will also provide time to connect with board members and network with other chapter members. If you have been a Sigma member for years and would like a refresher on your benefits, please feel free to attend. We will be hosting your New Membership Orientation in-person on February 24th from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm in the Science Building in 3207. There will be light refreshments served.  There will be a virtual option for those who cannot be there. Hello Sigma Members, Would a $1,000 Scholarship help you in your nursing program? The Theta Xi chapter of SIGMA will award one $1,000 scholarship to a full-time student enrolled in one of the nursing programs at CSS. Consideration for the award will be given to: *Baccalaureate students who are at least at the junior level with an overall GPA of 3.4 *RN-BSN students who have completed half of the program and have a 3.4 GPA *DNP program students with an overall GPA of 3.5  For more information on how to apply, contact Sue Connor at sconnor1@css.edu. Hello Everyone,  Welcome back to another year with Sigma. I hope you all were able to enjoy your summer and get some much-needed time to relax.  I am emailing you to let you know that there are still ways to get involved with your Sigma Membership that does not require a board position. Hello Everyone,  I hope everyone is doing well and is looking forward to summer and enjoying all that comes with it, including rummage sales! This year your local Sigma will be participating in the 2021 Arena Rummage Sale on May 22, at the Heritage Sports Center from 9 am-3 pm. As a part of this event, we are looking for volunteers to help with preparing items for sale on Friday, May 21st, from 4 pm-8 pm. We will also need help setting up on Saturday, May 22nd, from 6 am-8 am to help set up our booth.  If you cannot help with setup, we would appreciate it if you stop by our booth or by donating items. We do not accept clothing, pillows, and linens. We do accept children's items, videos, games, and toys. Kitchen items, wall decorations, books, holiday decorations, gardening/floral supplies, and small furniture items will be accepted.
