  • Scholarships Available!

    We are pleased to announce that the scholarship applications named in honor of Dr. Pamela Simmons and Maxine Johnson are now available!  Applications are due May 5th, 2022 by 4:30pm. Applicants must be active members of Beta Chi. The applications can be found under the "discussion" tab. The Maxine Johnson Needs Based Scholarship is for $500 and will be awarded to 2 individuals, 1 undergraduate student and 1 graduate student. The Dr. Pamela Simmons Leadership Scholarship is for $1000.

  • BOARD ELECTIONS 2022!

    The Beta Chi Chapter Succession Committee is seeking members who would be willing to serve in one of the following positions for the 2-year terms that would start July 1, 2022. Below is the list of positions that need to be filled. Your willingness to serve provides an opportunity to network with colleagues in service to the chapter and contribute to your profession. All elected positions are members of the board that provide direction for the chapter. Board meetings are held monthly. Nominations close on March 6th, 2022 at midnight. The consent to serve form must be completed to acknowledge the nominee’s placement on the ballot. Completion of the consent to serve form will initiate the placement of nominees on the formal ballot to be disseminated to the membership on March 7th, 2022. Induction into your new position will occur during the Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 1st, 2022.  Committee Nominations (with number of vacancies) are open for the following positions: President-Elect (1) Counselor (1) Leadership Succession Committee (2) Governance Committee (1) Membership Ambassador (1) Leadership Ambassador  (1) If you are interested in serving, please contact Tamara Manns, mannst@nsula.edu to obtain the consent to serve form and/or with any questions.   • Shreveport Community Health Fair

    Please check out our event tab to learn more about the FREE community health fair we will be hosting at Sciport on March 12, 2022! We are teaming up with NSU's College of Nursing and School of Allied Health to bring education and health screening to Shreveport!
  • GLMC- Cohort 3 Coordinator Presents at Biennium Convention

    Congratulations to our Beta Chi Chapter Immediate Past President, Dr. Danita Potter, on her podium presentation acceptance at the 46th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, IN this November.  Dr. Potter will be presenting three presentations! We are so proud of Dr. Potter's work and commitment to nursing excellence and scholarship.
