    Dear Mu Psi Member, It is not too late to submit an abstract for the Region 13 conference being held on April 26 and 27 right here in Charlotte.   • Ten more volunteers needed to help the Salvation Army on 12.14.23 from 1p-4p

    All, Good afternoon. Only four Mu Psi Members have volunteered to date for the Salvation Army Christmas. We have 14 slots total. Please consider volunteering 3 hours of your time on December 14 from 1-4 pm. Location in CLT but exact location not known at this time. The Center is located in a warehouse environment and may not have air conditioning or heat so please dress appropriately. Depending on what tasks we have to accomplish, you may be on your feet so please wear comfortable shoes. We ask that all of our volunteers be flexible and come with no set expectations as activities at the Christmas Center are constantly changing. All volunteers will be required to sign in upon arrival. NO walk-in volunteers will be accepted. Event Description: The Salvation Army Christmas Program Assistance Program serves qualified families in Mecklenburg and Union Counties who have children between the ages of 0-12 years old. We also have a similar program for residents who are over 62 years old and in need of assistance.    *Please be advised that for safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old and under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.   Volunteer activities include but are not limited to: Unload Angel bags and toy donations from trucks Sort Angel bags, rebag as necessary Check in angel bags/distribute to family bags on floor Label, organize and assemble bikes and large toys for Angels Organize and restock shelves in Toyland Unbox toys/supplies Breakdown cardboard for disposal Shop for families in Toyland Final bag check - verifying all Angel bags in family bags Sort and inventory incoming, filled backpacks Stuff backpacks with supplies Sort, inventory and organize incoming toy donations

  • A reminder of our fall meeting Monday, 10.23 at 6pm

    Join us in the simulation center in Knight Crane Hall 2nd floor at 6pm for our fall meeting.  Dr. Sheryl Cornelius will present her mu psi funded research.  We will approve our 23.24 strategic plan and work on the Region 13 Research Conference planning. Bring your OTC medications for our volunteer project. And plan to celebrate our key award recognition! Congratulations to mu psi chapter !
